The Security Executive Council (SEC) is researching organizational loss due to incidents and corporate security’s role in mitigating these losses.
We are looking specifically for loss outside the realm of cyber incidents or breaches. Working with Resolver, we would like to ask you a few questions about loss due to theft, fraud and abuse in your organization. Any data collected will be reported anonymously and only in aggregate.
We will aggregate data (anonymously) to create an average industry loss amount for these kinds of incidents. If there is enough participation, we can generate averages by industry and size of company. In this first study we also hope to learn best practices to calculate the cost of loss avoidance.
To thank you for contributing to this industry initiative. You will receive a copy of the results after the survey closes and analyses have been conducted. Depending on the rate of participation, the results report should be available 2nd quarter, 2022.
