Security Program Validation Tops Security Leaders' Wish List

May 5, 2020 – A Security Barometer peer poll by the Security Executive Council has found that the ability to validate the security program, the ability to effectively measure it, and the opportunity to communicate the value of security are the top three items on security leaders' wish lists.

It's interesting to note that this same survey question, given in 2011, identified the same three top wishes, says Kathleen Kotwica, EVP and Chief Knowledge Strategist for the Security Executive Council. "I think this speaks to the fact that security leaders truly aspire to create a program that provides value," she adds, "and they want techniques to understand if security is valued across their organization."
